William M. Stewart School records 1947-1978

The William M. Stewart School was established as a training school for school teachers (Normal School) at the University of Utah in 1891 and continued under the State College of Education and the Graduate School of Education. It was attended by children from kindergarten to high school age. The Stewart School closed in 1965. This collection contains correspondence, memoranda, meeting minutes, and clippings relating to the operation and closure of the William M. Stewart School. It also contains material relating to the State College of Education.
